This is a complicated form of astrology as the other commenter mentioned. The simplest version of a solidly elected time is:
- the moon is in the 1st, 4th, 7th, or 10th house, or at the bare minimum is not in the 6th, 8th, or 12th, and not in harsh aspect to any malefics (Saturn and Mars), & ideally not in any harsh aspects at all (square and opposition)
- the planet that rules the rising sign is not in an unfortunate house (6,8,12) or otherwise afflicted (by aspect to another planet, current sign, etc).
A perfect election is nearly impossible, but those guidelines might help you sort through some of the available dates/times to find something that comes closest to the criteria.
It quickly becomes quite complicated.
Part depends on what's up with you (ie. your astrology of the moment, which also brings in the issue of whether performing well would be in your ultimate best interests, in terms of needed life-development). Part depends on the general astrological "atmosphere." Additionally, when you start the test, that moment in time at that place on Earth gives a chart. In that chart, you don't want angular malefics, nor problematic planets from your natal chart to be on the Angles of said chart.
